Jarraff Industries recently broke ground on a 20,000-square-foot addition to its main assembly building, which will add three new manufacturing lines and as many as 30 new jobs when completed late in 2018.
The addition is one piece of a project, which already includes a new paint booth and numerous equipment upgrades. The expansion will also encompass 35,000 square feet of new building space, add five additional acres to its St. Peter campus, and include a dedicated 10,000-square-foot parts and service building, as well as a 5,000-square-foot finished machine storage facility by the end of 2018.
Jarraff Industries President and Owner Heidi Boyum said, “This investment will build on the nearly 40-year legacy of this family owned business. My father produced the first automated tree trimmer in 1979 and its ability to increase labor efficiency, keep employees safe, and increase productivity for our customers has only increased in demand through the years. We design and build high-tech equipment ranging in price from $150,000 to nearly $300,000, from the ground up, right here in Southern Minnesota and ship all over the world. We are a testament to the ability of a family- and woman-owned business to compete in world class manufacturing.”
Jarraff Industries provides high quality specialized right-of-way maintenance, land clearing and tree care equipment that is used throughout the world. Its customers include international, national, regional and local contractors; as well as state and local governments, utility companies, and tree care companies, both domestic and international.
