Jarraff Industries recently finished a 20,000-square-foot addition to its main assembly building, which adds three new manufacturing lines and as many as 30 new jobs!! The project included a new paint booth and numerous equipment upgrades. The finished expansion, encompasses 35,000 square feet of new building space, a dedicated 10,000-square-foot parts and service building and a 5,000-square-foot finished machine storage facility. Engineering Designer – FT
Our Engineering Designer performs design work related to planning and designing machines, engines, tools, and other mechanically functioning equipment to improve and expand Jarraff Industries, Inc. products.
Typical job duties include: Maintain and design Jarraff products while applying knowledge of engineering principles, Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement product modifications and changes to Jarraff products, and evaluate potential design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs.
Position requirements include: Associate’s Degree in Engineering – Design preferred, 2+ years’ experience in Engineering Design, and Technical knowledge of hydraulics, electronics and Solidworks.
This individual will possess the following competencies: Technical Capacity, Communications Proficiency, Problem Solving/Analysis, Collaboration Skills, Attention to Detail, Team Player, Organizational Skills, Relationships, Project Management Skills, and Awareness of health and safety issues.
Design Engineer – FT
Our Design Engineer performs engineering work related to planning and designing machines, engines, tools, and other mechanically functioning equipment to improve and expand Jarraff Industries, Inc. products.
Typical job duties include: Maintain and design Jarraff products while applying knowledge of engineering principles, Confer with engineers and other personnel to design new product, implement product modifications and changes to Jarraff products, Evaluate potential design proposals, specifications, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost and maintenance requirements of designs, Provide information to CAD Designers to support design efforts, Calculations for sizing of components, material specifications, structural elements, electrical and hydraulic, Machine Operations, testing and tuning, Prototype build support for validation phases, Lead concept brainstorming sessions with groups to drive innovative design ideas, Review BOM’s for accuracy and completeness, Vendor/Supplier relationships, General data analysis from test results, Write test plans for validation of product, Lead DFMEA events during new product design projects and Knowledge of engineering BOM integration with MRP system(Microsoft GP).
Position requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Mechanical preferred, 5+ years’ of experience in manufacturing and engineering, Technical knowledge of hydraulics, electronics and Solidworks, Fluent in Microsoft Office Suites, Ability to communicate at high levels across multiple departments, and Evaluation of proposed design concepts with ability to analyze specific attributes of each for comparison.
This individual will possess the following competencies: Excellent Communication Proficiency, Customer/Client Focus, Relationships, Technical Capacity, Problem Solving/Analysis, Project Management, Results Driven and Awareness of health and safety issues.
Shipping Specialist: FT
This position is responsible for fulfilling orders. The shipping specialist is responsible for identifying and fulfilling the proper product and quantity in purchases, and securely packaging and labeling the shipment properly.
Typical job duties include: Verifies package identifying information through counts, weights, and/or other measures, Execute proper procedures to pack and prepare shipments, Maintain stock for shipping supplies, Affixes shipping labels/shipping ID info on prepared packages for shipment, Provide quality control review for all products within the retail stock area, Understand shipping costs and eliminate unnecessary expenses related to errors and inefficiencies in the shipping process, Coordinate completion of preparing shipments with carrier pickup times, Utilizing hand pallet jack, forklifts and shipping carts, properly positions items for shipment after preparation.
Position requirements include: Education: High School Diploma or GED, Prefer 1+ years directly related shipping operations experience (i.e. FedEx/UPS), pulling and packaging parts.
This individual will possess the following competencies: Excellent customer service and organizational skills with strong attention to details, Analytical problem solving, Understand and follow protocol for the proper lines of communication, clear understanding of company mission and values and ability to work Independently and as part of a team.
Assembly Associate: FT
The purpose of this job is to assemble Jarraff Tree Trimming and right of way clearing equipment.
Typical job duties include, working with schematics, blue print drawings, or other data to assemble components according to specifications, holds the ability to problem solve, assists with assemble and sub-assemblies of equipment, reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor, maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations, completes tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
Position requirements include: 2-year technical degree with hydraulics system knowledge, 2+ years manufacturing experience, knowledge of manufacturing processes, work measurement, quality assurance, shop routing, blueprints and math. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working in a shop environment and must be able to lift up to 50-lbs.

Material Handler: FT
The purpose of this position is to compile and maintain materials and parts inventory and status information to expedite movement of material and parts between production areas while keeping work stations fully stocked with material, thus controlling the continuous flow of productivity by performing the following duties.
Typical job duties include, Stock Assembly lines/Associates with required parts daily, build small service assemblies as needed, assist with on campus material handling and movement of parts along with shipping/handling and paint prep as needed, be trained in loading sold units onto trucks, assist maintenance when needed, read production schedules, inventory reports, and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority, and confers with department supervisors to determine overdue material and parts and to inform supervisors of material status.
Position requirements include: High School Diploma or GED, 1-2 years’ experience in material handling and the ability to plan, organize, and manage multiple projects. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working in a shop environment and must be able to lift up to 50-lbs and must be able to operate, Forklift, pallet jack and hand carts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
This individual will posses the following competencies: Problem Solving/Analysis, Collaboration, Team Player, Initiative, Results Driven, Flexibility, Technical Capacity, Dependable and Safety Orientated.
The purpose of this position is to weld and fabricate Linebacker Brush-Cutting equipment and to weld ad fabricate Jarraff All-Terrain Tree-Trimmers. Welders use, welders, cutters, shapers and measuring tools.
Typical job duties include, Weld parts;/machinery for both Linebacker Brush-Cutting equipment and Jarraff All-Terrain Tree-Trimmers, Fabricate both Linebacker Brush-Cutting equipment and Jarraff All-Terrain Tree-Trimmers, reading blue prints and drawings and taking measurements to plan layout and procedures, Determining the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements, Setting up components for welding according to specifications, Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded, Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces, Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)., Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps, Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws, and maintain equipment in a condition tat does not compromise safety.
Position requirements include: 2-year technical degree in welding or equivalent in experience, 1+ years welding experience, knowledge of manufacturing process, work measurement, quality assurance, shop routing, blueprints, and math.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is working in a shop environment and must be able to lift up to 50-lbs and must be able to operate a forklift. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
