Job Description:
This position is responsible for:
Purchasing and negotiating materials and supplies from vendors
Evaluating vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers.
Performing cost analysis and volume planning for major components
Ensuring that inventory levels are in step with production requirements
Additional requirements include:
B.S. Degree preferred and minimum of 2 years of purchasing experience
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts and methods
Proficient at the use of MS office applications including Word and Excel
Exceptional interpersonal skills, as well as an excellent communicator, both verbal and written
Strong negotiation skills
Ability to multi-task
